Just a year after its inauguration, Brasilia already felt the need to have a school with an international curriculum. Embassies, missionaries, and companies were beginning to bring their offices to Brazil's new capital, so education needed reinforcement.
With an educational program based on the American model, EAB began its activities in August 1961 in two SQS 113 apartments with only three students. On December 15, 1964, the school was formally registered by the US embassy with the Brazilian government, which ceded the land to build its headquarters.
Today, EAB is a leading international education institution in Brazil that trains responsible and engaged global citizens, natural born leaders, and administrators with a solid foundation of academic excellence.
